Radiesse Treatment

Radiesse offers double the beauty benefits by correcting lost volume while boosting your skin’s natural collagen production.

Dr Uzma Qureshi at MySkyn Clinic uses Radiesse to lift and define the features, smooth away lines, wrinkles, and facial folds and create long-lasting skin rejuvenation.

What is Radiesse treatment?

Radiesse is an FDA-approved treatment containing calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres within a gel matrix.

It is a next-generation biostimulatory dermal filler that not only restores youthful contours but also has a powerful, long-term effect on elastin and collagen production, rejuvenating the skin.

How does Radiesse work?

The gel matrix within Radiesse adds volume, allowing the skilled practitioner to create youthful contour in the cheek area and to redefine the jaw.

Lines and wrinkles are smoothed away, and sagging folds are lifted and tightened.

The CaHA particles stimulate the skin’s natural rejuvenation processes, boosting collagen and elastin levels for a fresher, more youthful appearance.

You can expect immediate correction of volume loss, followed by a gradual restoration of your skin’s youthful beauty and freshness.

Collagen-boosting filler Radiesse vs Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers

Traditional HLA fillers are an excellent treatment for correcting volume loss, and, like Radiesse, the results are visible immediately.

However, there are significant differences in the performance of the two products.

Radiesse provides Biostimulation

HLA fillers provide volume but do not contain the biostimulators found in Radiesse.

Stimulating collagen and elastin production smooths and firms the skin, so after Radiesse treatment, your skin will have a youthful texture and a fresh appearance.

Results last longer with Radiesse

The results of Radiesse treatment last 12 to 18 months, while HLA fillers often need refreshing after 6 months.

The calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in Radiesse stimulate collagen production in the tissues even after the filler has been absorbed, providing even longer-lasting skin rejuvenation benefits.

Superior skin quality with Radiesse treatment

HLA fillers offer excellent skin hydration, giving the skin a glow, but this effect is not as durable as the rejuvenation provided by Radeisse.

The Radiesse radiance is due to a natural boost in skin quality, driven by the treatment’s bio-stimulation, which increases collagen and elastin production in the tissues.

Which areas can be treated with Radiesse filler?

Radiesse is a highly effective treatment for rejuvenating the skin in the following areas:

  • Nasolabial folds – the lines between the nose and the mouth
  • Sagging skin on the cheeks
  • An undefined jawline
  • The backs of the hands
  • The décolletage

What happens during a Radiesse treatment?

Radiesse treatment is a straightforward procedure that typically takes around 30 minutes.

The skin in the treatment area is numbed, and the gel is introduced with a cannula or injections.

Dr Uzma is highly skilled at injectable treatments and knows how to keep you comfortable and relaxed throughout.

You may notice mild swelling or redness in the treatment area, but this will soon subside, and you can return to your daily routine immediately.

How soon will I see results, and how long do they last?

The lifting and contouring benefits of the Radiesse gel will be visible straight after treatment, with an immediate improvement in your appearance.

The skin rejuvenation benefits will become visible after a couple of weeks, and you will continue to enjoy enhanced skin quality for 12 to 18 months.

How many treatments will I need?

Radiesse is a highly effective treatment that gives significant benefits with just one treatment session.

Our patients have a follow-up consultation with Dr Uzma Qureshi to ensure that the treatment has achieved optimal benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions about Radiesse

There is minimal discomfort during this procedure when performed by a skilled practitioner such as Dr Uzma. Numbing cream is provided, but the treatment also contains its own local anaesthetic.

The key difference is that, unlike traditional fillers, Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres within its gel matrix. The CaHA stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the tissues, which naturally rejuvenate the skin, adding to the stunning lifting and smoothing effect.

The lifting and contouring results are immediate, but the skin rejuvenation takes a few weeks to develop and then continues to improve for many months.

The benefits of Radiesse can last up to a year or more, depending on lifestyle and metabolism.

No downtime is required. You may have some redness around the injection site, but this will soon fade.

One treatment is usually sufficient. Our patients like to have further maintenance treatments once the benefits start to fade in a year or so.

Radiesse is FDA-approved and has been proven to be safe and effective.

MySkyn Clinic in Bradford is doctor-led and CQC-registered so that you can be completely confident in all our treatments.

Although Radiesse is a very safe treatment, it is not suitable for all patients.

You would be unsuitable if you were pregnant or breastfeeding. This treatment should also be avoided by people with blood-clotting disorders or who are taking blood-thinning medication.  We will check whether you are a good candidate for Radiesse at your initial consultation.
