Hair Loss Treatment Bradford

Cellenis® therapy for treatment of hair loss

Cutting edge treatment advances, means that clinicians can use a small sample of your blood to separate the golden yellow plasma, from your red blood cells during your clinic visit.

Why Is this ‘liquid gold’ therapy effective in promoting Hair Growth?

PRP for hair lossThis therapy promotes the growth of hair by stimulating the stem cells located in the dermal papilla along with the other cell structures present in the hair follicle.

There are a number of specific growth factors or proteins that induce hair growth by stimulating blood vessel growth, collagen and providing the right environment for the hair follicles to start actively growing

Is thinning hair only a male problem?

PRP for hair lossNo. There are many women who experience hair thinning and loss. According to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (SHRS), almost 40% of people experiencing hair loss are women. The psychological impact of hair loss may be even more alarming for women than it is for men.

There are many reasons why women also suffer hair loss, and it is often more than one cause at any one time. These include hormonal fluctuations, such as post pregnancy shedding, menopause-related hair loss, starting or stopping some forms of contraception, underlying hormonal imbalances such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

In addition, over processing the hair with heat and chemical styling or wearing hairstyles that pull on the hair can also cause weathering, hair breakage, and traction hair loss.

What happens during your hair treatment?

Similar to a sample being drawn from your arm for a blood test, blood is drawn into a tube containing an anticoagulant and a separating gel. This tube is then spun in a centrifuge, and the ‘liquid gold’ containing the growth factors rises to the top.

This is ten injected into the scalp or areas of treatment.

After treatment, injection pin pricks may be seen, and there may be some moderate swelling from the injected fluid which soon subsides. Occasionally there may be some bruising due to the injecting

We recommend a course of 3-6 sessions.
