VoluDerm, revolutionary medical micro-needling
Youthful skin is healthy, plump, and supple. These qualities can fade with age, and until now, true skin rejuvenation has required highly invasive measures which are not always suited to all skin types.
VoluDerm, is an FDA approved, minimally invasive skincare option. It is different to other forms of micro-needling as it uses a combination of 2 proven modalities to treat some of the most common signs of ageing on the face and body. All with minimal discomfort and downtime.
Voluderm is composed of a unique combination of two types of energy – micro-needling and radio-frequency. These allow exceptional skin rejuvenation treatments with a dual effect in both the epidermis (top layer of skin) and dermis (deeper layers of skin).

How does VoluDerm micro-needling work?
VoluDerm uses fine micro-pins to penetrate the skin into the deeper dermis. The micro-needles create tiny microscopic injuries that kickstart the skin’s natural healing process. This leads to collagen and elastin production, that adds volume and tightens the skin. Radio-frequency at the tip of the needles heats the dermis causing further skin tightening, as well stimulation of collagen. Because the RF is delivered to the deeper layers the results are faster and more dramatic.
These essential elements enable to the skin to renew itself, leaving it firmer and plumper as a result. Wrinkles are reduced, the skin is resurfaced, and the volumising effects are long-lasting following a VoluDerm treatment.
What conditions can VoluDerm treat?
With ageing, many patients experience significant changes to the skin and face. A history of acne, sun damage, and other environmental hazards can lead to many types of damage. As we age, the breakdown of collagen and elastin leads to loosened skin, plus lines and wrinkles. VoluDerm technology can provide effective relief from common concerns including
- Loss of volume or plumpness in the skin
- Appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Presence of acne scars
- Surface imperfections
- Skin texture irregularities
- Sensitive skin concerns
VoluDerm is an appropriate treatment for the skin on your face, hands, and upper chest as well. If you’re looking for an effective treatment to reverse the damage of time, gravity, and other factors, then it’s time to consider a revolutionary new technology to help you.
What happens during treatment?
VoluDerm is a simple procedure that’s performed here in our clinic by a fully qualified aesthetician.
During your procedure, your skin will be initially be first cleansed to prepare it. A numbing cream can be used for comfort during the procedure, but because the needles we use are so small, many patients find that it’s not necessary.
The hand piece is passed over your skin, and the needles gently penetrate it and deliver pulses of radio frequency energy at the same time. The micro-perforations made by the needles stimulate the skin’s natural healing response, while the radio frequency energy causes tissues to contract and tighten.
Although your skin may feel tender or inflamed after treatment, symptoms are usually able to allow you to return to daily activities immediately.
VoluDerm’s results on the skin begin to become apparent over the next few weeks, with optimal results at 3-4 months – this is because the new collagen and elastin requires time to build up. We recommend a minimum course of 3 for results.
