A soft or weaker jawline can change the proportions of your entire face. It can impact the shape of your face and cause asymmetry. So, what can you do to change this?

At MySkyn, we get patients who are dissatisfied with their jawline asking us how they can achieve a more defined or sculpted lower face. While you may think jaw surgery is the answer, jawline fillers in Bradford can help you achieve similar results without the need to go under the knife.

But how long do jawline fillers last for? And how can you get the most out of jawline filler treatments? We have the information you need below.

What can jawline filler treatment do?

You might know that chin filler treatment helps to sculpt the chin area. That lip filler injections can provide fuller lips. But what do jawline fillers do?

Jawline fillers are a gel-like substance which can help to restore lost volume in your lower face. They consist of hyaluronic acid which instantly hydrates your skin and adds plumpness to your jawline. As a result, they can reduce the appearance of sagging skin and bone loss around the jaw.

Jaw filler treatment can also help with jawline contouring, giving you a stronger jawline and better jaw definition. Overall, jaw fillers can provide a solid foundation to help frame your face.

How much does jaw filler cost?

Every patient is different. So too are their reasons for wanting to have jawline filler. Results can also differ from person to person. This is why you should always attend a consultation before deciding on having dermal filler treatment.

A consultation with Dr Qureshi at MySkyn will help you understand what to expect from having jawline fillers. You will find out what happens during the procedure and what results you can expect to see from your fillers treatment. Our aim is to give you natural looking results that will enhance your facial features.

Fillers for specific areas of the face such as the chin or jawline start from £325. We provide personalised treatment for each patient. Dr Qureshi will create a bespoke treatment plan that will help you get the most out of your jawline fillers treatment.

Are the results of jawline fillers permanent?

With jawline fillers treatment, you will see a more sculpted and firmer jawline straight after your treatment. It may take an additional two-four weeks for the fillers to settle and for your final results to show.

Surgery normal requires bed rest or a change in your routine for the weeks following treatment. Dermal filler treatment on the other hand, requires little downtime. In fact, most patients only tend to experience minor swelling and can return to their normal routines after having jaw filler treatment.

Jaw filler results differ for everyone. Factors such as metabolism and your facial structure can impact your results. You will learn more about this at your consultation.

The results you achieve will not be permanent. You can expect the results of your dermal fillers to last 12-18 months on average.

As part of your treatment plan, we recommend coming back to see us after 12 months to top up your fillers, which will help maintain your results.

We only use trusted dermal filler brands

There are different types of dermal fillers out there that will give different results. At MySkyn, we only use high quality fillers from trusted brands.

We currently use hyaluronic acid filler which comply with European standards and regulation.

Tips on how to get the most out of your jawline filler treatment

Once you have jawline filler, you will want to keep your results for as long as possible. Here are the ways you can help maintain the life of your fillers:

  • Try not to spend too much time in the sun. Always protect your skin using a suitable factor sunscreen
  • Keep your skin hydrated by using moisturiser daily and drinking plenty of water
  • Look after yourself from the inside out by maintaining a healthy and balanced diet
  • Make time for yourself to reduce any stress and fatigue

Are there any side effects of filler treatment?

As with any aesthetic treatment, you can expect to see some bruising or swelling after your procedure. This is completely normal and usually goes away after a day or two. We recommend using a cold compress or an ice pack to help reduce any swelling or discomfort.

You can return to work following your treatment. You should avoid any strenuous physical activity for at least 24 hours following your jawline fillers treatment. Equally, we advise that you do not apply make-up to your face in the first 24 hours.
