Terms and Conditions
To comply with our company standards, Health and Safety Legislation, and insurance requirements, it is important that you read, understand and agree to the following:
Treatment and advice at MySkyn Clinic Ltd does not include diagnosis or treatment of underlying medical conditions, apart from consultations relating to pre-diagnosed skin conditions listed on our website.
The treatment, advice and information offered by our doctor or therapists does not replace the advice or care of your own medical practitioner. It is advisable that you inform both your medical practitioner and any complimentary practitioners of the treatment you are undertaking at MySkyn Clinic. All practitioners should be informed of any changes to your nutrition, supplementation and medication.
It is inadvisable to change or cease medical treatment or medication without first consulting your medical professional.
2. Consultation Booking Fee with our doctor
Consultations with our doctor at MySkyn Clinic for injectable treatments require a £50 deposit, which can be redeemed against any treatment you decide to have following the consultation. The £50 deposit is non-refundable should you decide not to have any treatments.
3. Cancellation Policy
*NOTE: You must give notice of at least 48 hours to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If this is not given, MySkyn Clinic reserves the right to charge 50% of the treatment fee. Any cancellation fees charged are non-refundable and cannot be used as credit against future treatments or consultations. If your appointment was as part of a course, MySkyn Clinic reserves the right to forfeit the session affected, meaning you risk losing one of your treatment sessions.
4. Payment Terms
All treatments must be paid for in advance of or at the time of treatment (unless you are taking advantage of payment plans on offer). MySkyn Clinic accepts payment for goods and services by cash, debit or credit card. Cheques and American Express are not accepted.
We offer an option of spreading costs of treatments via our partner PartPay. Please note that MySkyn Clinic does not offer financial or credit services. All financial agreements are with PartPay and subject to the necessary credit checks over which we have no participation or control.
The costs to patients of all treatments will remain the same regardless of whether it is paid for directly to the Clinic or an agreement is taken up with PartPay i.e no interest will be charged for using PartPay.
5. Under 18s
Treatments are only available to clients aged 18 and over. You may be asked for ID to confirm your age.
Children under the age of 12 are not allowed into the clinic, except under exceptional circumstances and on a pre-agreed basis with the Clinic. MySkyn Clinic cannot allow children under the age of 16 to observe laser treatments. Children under the age of 18 must be attended by a parent or guardian at all times.
MySkyn Clinic cannot be held responsible for incidents that may take place when there has been failure to adhere to the above.
6. Comfort and Safety
MySkyn Clinic operates a No Smoking policy within the building.
Noise levels must be kept to a minimum at all times, in consideration of both clients in treatment and practitioners administering such treatments.
Mobile phones must be switched off or put on silent whilst in the clinic.
7. Appointment Information
Although MySkyn Clinic aims to run the clinic efficiently, with appointments on time, there may be occasions when the clinic is running behind schedule. Your therapist will ensure that you are seen as soon as possible should these circumstances arise.
If you are running late for your appointment, you must notify the clinic as soon as possible. In such circumstances, MySkynClinic reserves the right to alter the order of appointments for the remaining clinic session, thereby possibly further delaying your appointment. We will however endeavour to try to be flexible.
8. Preparing for Treatment
You must avoid alcohol, aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen, and any recreational drugs for 48 hours prior to treatment undertaken in the clinic. MySKyn Clinic cannot be held responsible for any adverse effects resulting from the use of the aforementioned substances.
You must ensure that you have had sufficient food and that you are adequately hydrated before undergoing treatment.
9. Adjustments to Treatment Programs
Treatment programs are devised with the aim of achieving the best results possible. However, on occasion it may be necessary to adjust the program on an ongoing basis, to ensure that optimum results continue to be achieved. For example, your skin may react in a different way to that expected, or your skin may not be in a suitable condition for the planned treatment on the day of the appointment, or you may simply be seeking to avoid an expected reaction on a particular day because of a lifestyle commitment. Any such adjustments to a treatment program will be discussed with you, in order to seek your agreement, prior to treatment commencing. Your verbal agreement in these circumstances will be taken as implicit consent.
10. Client Satisfaction
We strive to ensure all our clients are provided with high quality, results driven care at all times. However if you are not satisfied with the service or products provided by MySkyn Clinic, you must contact the clinic within 24 hours or as soon as reasonably possible, so that the situation may be rectified.
We also have a complaints policy which can be found on our website, on display at the Clinic or by asking one of the staff members at the Clinic.
